Japanese Restaurant Shiro (Restaurant Review)

Price: $-$$

Service Staff: 3.5/5 stars

Quality of food: 3/ 5 stars

Last Visit: January 10, 2013

Comment: Your average small Japanese styled restaurant with a 9 person bar in the middle where you can see the sushi chefs at work.

This is probably the third time I’ve been here for lunch. The first time was a few years ago. Their lunch box sets used to be a lot cheaper. But I suppose with time comes inflation. They still provide a relatively good deal though… seeing how with tax + tips the bill only amounts to $15/ person

I ordered a Lunch Box G. (Unlike before….No miso soup for ALL lunch box sets anymore)

But I must say…the tempura was fried to perfection. Sweet katsudon….not bad. The flavor a little inconsistent. Some parts overly sweet… but no biggie. Pork is a little rough and not crisp enough though. Salmon sashimi was YuM…but so few. Salmon> tuna

Don’t have much to Say about tuna maki or smoked Salmon maki…they were…normal? not great but not bad.

But like a few years ago…they end the meal with a packet of Pocky. At least that much hasn’t changed. A nice way to end a satisfying meal.
